“Several blocks of cement walks being laid on East Dewey and more are planned. The development of East Dewey Avenue is causing a sidewalk boom along with several other parts of Sapulpa. No less than three blocks on that street either have brand new walks, or are laying them, or filling in the site preparatory to laying them. For a long time, folks from Woodlawn and Forest Park have been in the habit of taking to the street from the Woodlawn School to town but now only the last block before the end of the paving is to be without concrete walks on both sides. In several places, the hill has been cut down on one side and the dirt used to fill the yard on the other side. Several of the cross streets in the east part of town are getting new walks also to keep up with the new houses that are going up in all parts of town.”
