“Motto-‘organization is the spirit of the age.’ Officers: W.T. Field, president; Fred C. Johannes, editor and business manager. Entered as second-class matter, Oct. 8, 1909, at the Post office at Guthrie, Oklahoma under the act of March 3, 1879. Removed from Guthrie to Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Jan. 20, 1911, and application made to enter the Sapulpa, Oklahoma Post office as second-class matter. One year subscription, $1; six months, 50 cents. As will be noticed from the heading and date line of this paper, the plant has been removed to Sapulpa, Oklahoma, where The Oklahoma Farmer and Laborer will hereafter be published…As soon as possible the general style of the paper will be changed and greatly enlarged, and, we hope will meet the approval of our already 2,500 readers…Remember this, that the Oklahoma Farmer & Laborer starts out with 2,500 readers and that it reaches all parts of the State of Oklahoma, besides numerous other states.”
Friday, January 20, 1933, Sapulpa Free Press: Lon T. Jackson to Move to New Office
“Lon T. Jackson, insurance and real estate agent, is to move his office Saturday, from his old location on North Water Street, to 23 South Park, next door to the Plymouth Drug, he has announced. The office room is located in the south side of what used to be the north room of the drug store, as workmen have been busy the past week putting in a partition and remodeling the room for two offices. Jackson expects to move Saturday and be ready for business Monday morning in the new location.”

“Creek County Rural Water District No. 2, which serves a large area to the south and east of Sapulpa, added service to 95 new customers last year, bringing the total to 1,068, it was reported at the annual meeting in Glenpool Monday night. District president Paul S. Parker reported on the year’s operation and treasurer Grant Bruce gave the financial report…It has 105 miles of line, and last year used 82,558,000 million gallons of water, obtained from Lake Heyburn…”

The installation was conducted by officers from lodges in District No. 22…The Kellyville Round-Up Club recently sponsored a barn dance for the group’s youth members.
