Football

The Chieftains battled the rain, wind, cold, and the East Central Cardinals last Friday, and ended the season victorious with a 47-11 win. The Chieftains finish the regular season at 7-3 and are headed to Grove this Friday to take on the Ridgerunners in the 1st round of the playoffs. Kickoff is at 7pm. Groves visitors side is NOT very big. I would suggest bringing a chair to sit in just in case. We should be getting info from them early this week, which we will share on our social media pages when we do. Also, we will be taking a student bus for 9th-12th graders. We will send out the info to students Monday afternoon.

Basketball

11/29 will be here before we know it, which is the home opener for the Chieftain basketball teams as they take on Sand Springs in the Chieftain Center. That night will be the annual “Beary Christmas” where the girls’ team collects stuffed animals to donate for Christmas.  ALSO, we will be having a competition with Sand Springs for Cleats For Kids (https://www.cleatsforkids.org/) to collect gently used sporting good items (cleats for all sports, gloves, bats, rackets, shoes, etc.).

  • Employee of The Year celebration: February 14

Wrestling

The Chieftains traveled over to Bixby this weekend for the Bixby Open and head to the BA Open this weekend as they are getting ready for their season, too! The wrestlers open up at home on 12/8 when Catoosa travels to the Chieftain Center.

Ping Pings

This weekend the Pings had OSDTDA qualifiers at Norman North High School, at which the Large Senior Ensemble qualified for State! Also, congrats to Senior Ella Chaffin for making All-State & Senior Kiley Sontag for making All-Region East.

Core Value Winners

Congrats to our two recent Core Value Award winners, Joyce Stoneking and Jackson Dearman. Joyce won the award for Teamwork and Jackson won the award for Humility. Please help us celebrate these two awesome individuals!
