(SPS) — Senior Ashtyn Wells received an early Christmas gift. She was presented with the November Core Value Award for the trait of integrity.
The award is given each month to the student-athlete who best exemplifies the values of Sapulpa Chieftains Athletics – character, humility, commitment, integrity, self-control, mental toughness, team, responsibility, honor, and service.
The winner is selected after nominations are submitted by the coaches and reviewed by the athletics department.
Wells, an outside midfielder on the Lady Chieftains soccer team, accepted her plaque from Athletic Director Michael Rose, in front of her teammates.
“Ashtyn has been on the varsity team for the past three years. She is a quiet and selfless individual and her team is her top priority,” Rose read from Wells’ nomination. “She has the quality of being honest, she has strong moral principles, and is devoted to making her team the best it can be.”
The Core Value Award is sponsored by Tier One Lawn. Winners of the award receive a QuikTrip gift card courtesy of Tier One.
Congrats, Ashtyn!
