SeneStyle burglarized; third time the boutique has been hit in less than a year

SeneStyle Boutique (18 S. Park Street), will have to replace another door after the boutique was burglarized on Wednesday evening, according to sources familiar with the company.

The burglary happened at about 6:00 pm on Wednesday evening, they said. A young teenager broke the door and took the cash registers, which had what amounted to about $13.00 in change.

The burglary makes the third time the boutique has been vandalized in a year, and the first time someone actually burglarized the store. Business owners in the area say it’s frustrating, but they won’t let it stop the progress they’re bringing downtown.

“We don’t want people to think Sapulpa is defined by this,” said Jacob Birdwell, owner of CTX Coffee. “We’re better than this.”

Various business owners, as well as members of the Sapulpa Chamber of Commerce, are now having discussions about how to address the situation, including additional lighting on Sapulpa’s side streets and an increased police presence in downtown.
