Sapulpa’s head football coach Robert Borgstadt has announced his resignation, according to a post on the Sapulpa Public Schools Facebook Page.
Borgstadt, who has has led the Sapulpa Chieftains for the last five years, says he’s stepping back to spend more time with family.
“Carrying the responsibility of an entire football program brings with it sacrifices in your personal life,” Borgstadt said. “I’m going to take a step back and spend more time in the stands watching my daughters compete.”
Assistant Head Coach Sal Guerrero has been named the interim head coach while the Chieftains search for a replacement.
