Sapulpa’s Chuck-It Axe Co. to close, but Chuck-It Dogs are sticking around, will join Sapulpa’s first brewery

Chuck-It Axe Company, after three years in business, has announced they will close their doors to their axe-throwing venue on July 13th, according to a post on the business’s Facebook Page.

“We did not come to this decision lightly. We have loved being a place where many of you would come to hang out,” the company said in the statement. “We have watched so many of you smile with the satisfaction of your first axe sticking or getting your first bullseye.”

Meanwhile, Chuck-It’s other venture: the popular Chuck-It hotdog cart, is getting something of an upgrade as they prepare to become an official part of Sapulpa’s first brewery, James Calley Brewing Company, slated to open in the fall.

According to a post on the brewery’s Facebook Page, the owners of Chuck-It Hotdogs will be working the kitchen at the brewery, providing the recipes they’ve become known for, plus some new options:

“James Calley Brewing is excited to be joining forces with the crew from Chuck-It ! In addition to great brews, wines and non-alcohol drinks, the kitchen will be serving Chuck-It’s amazing food cart recipes along with some new options too,” the company said in their statement. “Construction on Hobson is moving nicely and we are down to just a couple months before opening!”

Chuck-It Axe Company opened in 2021 and was Sapulpa’s first axe-throwing experience, with a fully-renovated venue on South Water Street that provided a fun option for entertainment in Sapulpa. Their departure is a sad occasion mixed with excitement for their new venture.

“Just know the Chuck-It Crew cannot thank you enough for a great few years,” their statement said. “Thank you for the unforgettable memories and all the throws! When we say we wouldn’t be who we are without you, that is God’s honest truth. We are so grateful for every individual that has supported our endeavor from day one.”

Chuck-It’s last day of business will be July 13th. They’re continuing to offer axe-throwing sessions until then. Reserve your spot at chuckitaxco.com
