Sapulpa woman charged in Lone Star embezzlement case arrested again for embezzlement at Kellyville

The Creek County District Attorney’s Office is attaching more embezzlement charges in the case against the Sapulpa woman accused of embezzling nearly $30,000 from the Lone Star Booster Club after an additional investigation turned up similar activity with another school’s booster program.

Myra Flores-Harmon, 35, a former teacher at Lone Star Schools, was arrested and charged earlier this month after an investigation determined that she had written numerous fraudulent checks and “routinely misreported charges and checks cashed by the Defendant and the money coming into the account,” according to the arrest affidavit.

Those fraudulent checks began in 2020 after Harmon was made Treasurer of the Lone Star Booster Club in 2019, and continued until her termination from Lone Star Schools in November of 2024. Approximately 35 checks totaling $13,790 were either cashed or deposited into a bank account found to belong to Harmon.

  • A one-time payment to Carnival Cruise for over $260.
  • A payment to “BCBS INS” for nearly $300.
  • A total of $854.97 moved into a family member’s Paypal account, paid by the Booster Club’s bank card.
  • $750 moved into the Harmon’s own Paypal account from the Booster Club account.
  • Approximately 10 checks made out to “Cash” amounting to $5,723 spanning from May of 2020 to October of 2024.
  • $150 to be used for prizes and supplies for her classes’ Accelerated Reader (AR) Program, after which it was reported that Harmon’s class didn’t participate in the program and did not use the money allocated for her class.

Harmon was also involved in the school’s Cheer Fund, which handled a raffle and fundraiser for a teacher diagnosed with cancer in 2022. Harmon was responsible for collecting payments for the fundraisers. The teacher reported that she recieved $2,155 but a report from the school stated the amount should’ve been at least $3,330, according to the affidavit. Harmon reportedly continued to receive donations even after the teacher received her deposit.

In total, Harmon is believed to have taken approximately $28,175.03 from Lone Star School, Lone Star Booster Club, and a fellow teacher.

New charges from Kellyville Quarterback Club

On March 7th, an additional arrest warrant was issued for Harmon after an investigation by the Kellyville Police Department concluded that Harmon had made numerous unauthorized transactions from the Kellyville Quarterback Club.

According to the probable cause affidavit, from August 2024 to September of 2024, a total of $2908.45 was withdrawn from the Kellyville Quarterback Club accounts through ATM transactions or money transfers.

In November, Kellyville Athletic Director Kevin Nance told Kellyvlle police that he’d received a letter from Harmon stating that “she is sorry for the situation,” and “requesting that her husband and son be left out of the matter.” She also said she hoped to repay the stolen funds using her teacher’s retirement and requested that charges not be pursued.

On March 7th, the Creek County DA’s office filed charges of embezzlement accusing Harmon of fraudulently appropriating the sum of $2,448.95 that belonged to Kellyville Quarterback Club and had been entrusted to the said defendant by Kellyville Quarterback Club.

Harmon was booked and released on Monday, March 10th. She’s expected in court on March 25th for a hearing related to the first set of embezzlement charges.
