Two Sapulpa students were recognized by the Tulsa Community College Honors Program for significant academic achievements during the 2017-2018 academic year.
Abby N. Duffy received an associate degree with Honors Scholar distinction, which requires completion of at least 24 credit hours of honors classes and at least a 3.5 GPA. She is from Sapulpa and was homeschooled.
Brayden Hughes, a Sapulpa High School graduate, received the TCC Foundation Honors Award for outstanding academic performance and contribution in the honors classroom. Hughes was selected based on the recommendations of the honors faculty on all four TCC campuses.
The Foundation Honors Award affirms excellence and rewards the student who has accepted the challenge to become an exceptional TCC Honors Scholar. Funding for each $250 award is generously provided by the Tulsa Community College Foundation.
The TCC Honors Program gives curious, motivated students engaging and challenging options for fulfilling their course requirements. In addition, Honors Scholars have additional scholarship, research and service-learning opportunities as well as transfer advantages in pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
