A statement sent out by Sapulpa Schools says they are expecting construction on the high school campus to “increase dramatically over the summer, beginning with the demolition of Woodlawn Annex.”
The Woodlawn Annex building is the most southwestern building on the high school campus, and will be demolished to make way for additional parking for the new junior and senior high school currently being constructed.
Last week, Sapulpa held a “Walk Through Woodlawn” event, allowing former teachers and students to take one last stroll through the former elementary school.
Effective May 19th through at least July 31st, only the back parking lot entrance to Sapulpa High School will be accessible for Sapulpa High School and Sapulpa Junior High. Dewey Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Mission and Adams, and Adams will become a two-way street.
That portion of Dewey is expected to remain closed through the entirety of 2025 and into 2026.
All High School and Junior High business will be conducted at Sapulpa Middle School.
