Sapulpa Public Schools has formally moved to snow days for Thursday and Friday “due to hazardous conditions developing across the area,” after assigning Wednesday as a Distance Learning day.
With the rise of virtual schooling over the last two years, many were wondering if traditional snow days might become a thing of the past. Still, the school retains several built-in snow days and has chosen to utilize them in light is the snowstorm that’s beginning to envelop the area and should continue through at least the next day.
The full statement is below:
Due to hazardous winter conditions developing across the area, Sapulpa Public Schools has made the decision to utilize Snow Days for Thursday, February 3 and Friday, February 4.
All school buildings will be closed to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Both Thursday and Friday will be considered Snow Days instead of Distance Learning days, and, as such, are built into the district calendar.
Additional updates will be posted on the district website at sapulpaps.org and our social media channels.
