Sapulpa Public Schools announced it has hired Chris Wallace as head boys’ varsity basketball coach.

Wallace comes to Sapulpa from Broken Arrow Public Schools, where he served as an assistant boys’ basketball coach for over six years. Prior to joining Broken Arrow’s coaching team, Wallace was the assistant women’s basketball coach at Oral Roberts University.
He is part of the fabric of the basketball community in Green Country. Wallace was a starting guard at the University of Tulsa, earning his bachelor’s degree from TU.
Wallace helped coach the Broken Arrow Tigers to a 12-1 season in district play in the 2024-25 season, advancing the team to the state semi-finals.
“Coach Wallace brings the skill, energy, and enthusiasm we need to shape our program,” said SPS athletic director Michael Rose. “Student-athletes are ready to play for him, and we are excited to see the ways in which he builds our team and players.”
Wallace and his wife, Sarah, have four children.
