(SPS) — Sapulpa Public Schools announced its site Teachers of the Year for the 2025-26 school year at a series of special ceremonies over the last two weeks.
The educators will be honored on Friday, February 13, at the Chieftain Center, during Teacher and Employee Appreciation Night. The district will recognize each outstanding teacher during halftime of the boys’ varsity basketball game against Edmond North, at approximately 8:20 p.m.

Sapulpa Public Schools congratulates these creative, driven, and dedicated educators who were chosen by their peers for making a positive impact on their students.
- Freedom Elementary – Brett Mercer, P.E.
- Holmes Park Elementary – Kari Peterson, Title I
- Jefferson Heights Elementary – Megan Loghry, 3rd Grade
- Liberty Elementary STEM Academy – Kimberly McCallum, 2nd Grade
- Bartlett Academy – Ryan Wright, English
- Sapulpa Middle School – Mary Lollis, Band
- Sapulpa Junior High – Rosemary Hill, Technology
- Sapulpa High School – Read Richards, English and Media Production

Support Employee of the Year finalists will also be announced this month. The Sapulpa District Teacher of the Year and Support Employee of the Year will be chosen in the spring and honored at an annual banquet.

The Sapulpa District Teacher of the Year and Support Employee of the Year will be chosen in the spring and honored at an annual banquet. The Support Employee of the Year Finalists will be honored alongside the Site Teachers of the Year at the home basketball game at Chieftain Center on Friday, February 13, during halftime of the boys’ game at approximately 8:20 p.m.
