Sapulpa Police have confirmed that they recovered a deceased person in the woods not far from the spillway in Rock Creek behind the local VFW building and the historic Rock Creek Bridge.
Sapulpa Police Major Mike Reed confirmed that the body was discovered on Tuesday night at around 9:00 PM. The victim has not been identified. Reed says they’re waiting on a positive confirmation from the Medical Examiner, and to notify the next of kin, before they’ll release the identification of the victim.

Patrons of the VFW confirmed to Sapulpa Times that the police had asked for the security tapes of the area going back to last Friday.
