Sapulpa police have made a second arrest in the serial vandalism case that we first reported on earlier this afternoon.

Twenty-year-old Katelynn Joy Macke, of Kellyville, was arrested by Sapulpa Police on Monday afternoon after detectives brought her in for an interview regarding the vandalism at Sapulpa parks.
After three of Sapulpa’s parks were hit with racist and vulgar graffiti over the weekend, Sapulpa Parks moved into swift action to close Liberty while they contacted the manufacturers of the park’s equipment in order to find out how to remove the spray paint from the special surfaces.
On Monday, Sapulpa police arrested the primary suspect, Brandon Michael Arnold, and charged him with felony vandalism. That afternoon, detectives arrested Macke as part of their continuing investigation of the incidents.
Macke has been charged with felony vandalism, and although her exact role in the crimes is unclear, Sapulpa police told us Macke admitted to playing a role in the serial vandalism case.
Sapulpa’s Liberty Park is still closed, with at least portions of other parks expected to close while cleanup is ongoing. Sapulpa Parks Director Carson Lynch said he hopes to have all the affected parks open by Wednesday morning.
Damage to Liberty Park has been estimated to be at least $14,000, Carson said.
