Sapulpa Ping Pings are back-to-back National Champions

(SPS) — The Sapulpa High School Ping Ping Dance Team was once again named multi-national champions at Dance Team Union (DTU) over the weekend in Orlando, Florida.

For the second year in a row, the Pings will bring home two DTU National Titles in two dances: Small Varsity High Kick and Large Varsity Team Performance, which is a dance routine that combines four dance genres Pom, Jazz, Kick, and Hip Hop.

All dance teams attending DTU first have to dance in preliminary rounds on Saturday in order to advance and compete in the finals on Sunday.

At the conclusion of the prelims, both dances were in first position entering the finals. The Pings finished in first place earning them a National Championship against teams from Oklahoma and across the nation.

The Ping Pings have earned 12 State Championships since 2018. They now have 5 National Championship titles, with the first one earned in 2020. The 20 members of the Sapulpa Ping Ping Dance team are coached by Molly Heritage and Jennifer Reutlinger.

Congratulations, Pings! See more of their demo below:
