Sapulpa native to be cast in South Dakota Theatre

BROOKINGS, S.D. — Tiffany Quinton, a native of Sapulpa, is scheduled to appear in a number of shows at the Prairie Repertory Theatre stage this summer in Brookings, South Dakota.

The Sapulpa High School alumna and recent University of the Ozarks graduate will be seen onstage and off this summer. She will appear as a Daughter in the second show of the season “Quilters.” Then she will serve as a costume designer for “The Gin Game.” Quinton can also be spotted in the ensemble of “Little Shop of Horrors,” the award-winning musical that closes the season.

“After my first summer, PRT has become a place that feels like a home away from home,” Quinton says. “It killed me having to spend so much time not doing theatre. Returning to performing in front of a live audience has me so excited for the future.”

She is the daughter of Chuck and Cindy Quinton of Sapulpa.

The Prairie Repertory Theatre season opens with “The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged),” followed by “Quilters,” and “The Gin Game.” The season closes with the musical “Little Shop of Horrors” in July.

Quinton says she learned about Prairie Repertory Theatre (PRT) through her college professor. She spent the first year as a costume designer, and “Quilters” will be her onstage debut at PRT. “I was very active in my theatre program at the University of the Ozarks,” Quinton says, in addition to the theatre program at Sapulpa High School, where she served as Co-President of her Thespian Troupe and was also a member of Oklahoma’s first board of State Thespian Officers.

All shows will be in the Oscar Larson Theatre in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on the South Dakota State University campus in Brookings.
