Karrah Youngblood knows that at least once a year, she’ll begin seeing her name around the internet.
The Sapulpa native is making headlines again after the New York Post ran an article on her viral pumpkin carvings featuring Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who are recently engaged.
The post actually happened in August, but only recently did the New York newspaper run the story.
It’s not the first or even the fourth time Youngblood has gone viral for her sensational pumpkin carvings, which so closely resemble the iconic celebrities she fashions them after.
Still, she says it’s such an unbelievable experience every time it happens. “Never thought a hobby that started with my mom, a pumpkin, and a steak knife would land me a story in (the) New York Post,” she said in a Facebook Post last week.
Youngblood has been carving pumpkins for over ten years, and last year, she was featured in a story on Sapulpa Times after her carvings of Swift and musician Chappel Roan went viral on TikTok.
“It blows my mind that something I create in my garage in Sapulpa has landed me in the New York Post,” she told the Sapulpa Times about the new story in the ‘Post. “I am truly honored.”
Youngblood continues to post her latest carvings on her social media, like this one of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.
