Sapulpa municipal election filing delayed until January

Candidates for municipal office in one Creek County municipality may file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday, January 3.

Sapulpa Times previously reported the filing as having begun this week, December 4th. (The filings for the other cities will indeed be this week as originally planned)

Joy Naifeh, Secretary of the County Election Board, said the filing period ends at 5 p.m. Friday, January 5.

Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted at the County Election Board office
for the indicated offices:

City of Sapulpa Councilors

  • Ward One, Seat One
  • Ward Two, Seat One
  • Ward Three, Seat One
  • Ward Four, Seat One
  • Ward Five, Seat One

The municipal offices at stake in the City of Sapulpa will be filled in the Nonpartisan election scheduled February 13, 2018, or if necessary the runoff election dated April 3.
