Sapulpa cancels Friday’s game against Claremore due to COVID-19

Sapulpa Public Schools has canceled their upcoming football game against the Claremore Zebras due to COVID-19 confirmations, the school has posted on their official Facebook Page on Thursday morning.

The school says that there are three positive cases that have been confirmed within the last 24 hours, resulting in at least 10 members of the football team being identified as a close contacts. Those student-athletes and coaches were instructed to isolate and quarantine immediately. “While we share in the disappointment in the cancelation, the decision to cancel is not one that we take lightly,” the school said in the post.

The school says that refunds will be issued to to those who have purchased tickets.
