Rumors of a student with a gun at Sapulpa Junior High result in confiscated airsoft pistol

A rumor about a student bringing a gun to the Sapulpa Junior High on Wednesday morning led to a confrontation and ultimately resulted in the confiscation of an airsoft pistol, according to a statement released by Sapulpa Schools this afternoon.

Sapulpa Administration says teachers were notified near lunchtime and the student was immediately confronted and handed over the airsoft pistol without incident.

They also credit proactive students and proper procedure and training with bringing the situation to a quick resolution.

The school says they determined the student had no intended threat after an investigation. We’ve attached a screenshot of the statement below.
