Rock Creek Music Festival continues despite weather

The Seventh Annual Rock Creek Festival took over Kelly Lane Park with three local bands, meadery, artist booths and food trucks.

Despite the early morning storms this family-friendly event went on as planned. It was brought to you by Sapulpa Arts and Sapulpa Park and Recreation with Premier Sponsors American Heritage Bank and See Sapulpa and Signature Sponsor Renewal by Anderson.

“It was a great day of music by local bands Cassie Latshaw Band and And Then There Were Two,” said Sheri Ishmael Waldrop, director of Sapulpa Arts. “The weather started out rainy and muggy, but as the skis cleared the evening cooled off as James Groves Band took the stage. It was perfect weather to bring the family out for music and fun.”

This event offered something for everyone in the family. Chuck It Axe’s Hot Dog Cart & Lemonade and Momma D’s Italina kept us fed, and Brite Ice cooled us off with snow cones, cold drinks and funnel cakes.

Sapulpa’s Dancing Skeleton Meadery, 609B S. Main St, and the Vanderhoff family Dried Candies offered samples, Little Pallet Company and Sapulpa Arts kept the children creating, and our artist booths included Carla Ayres Gypsy Love Crafts and Flemming Fancies.
