Rock Creek Folk Festival is the thing to do today, plus the rest of your Saturday

The Rock Creek Folk Festival has the feel of a do-over from last year.

In 2018, the festival was in August, and would’ve been a great performance, if not for the fact it had been so blasted hot. The music was great, the vendors were cool and the food trucks were tasty.

But because it was Oklahoma in August, it was upwards of 100 degrees and the crowd wasn’t quite so thick as it could’ve been.

Thankfully, Sapulpa Arts—who hosts the event—took the hint and moved it to a much cooler time, which is today. The festival starts at 3pm and ends at 9pm. Except for the threat of rain, all signs to a better turnout.

What’s even better, they seem to have doubled down on the good stuff. More music acts, more vendors, more food trucks, and the addition of beer and wine are sure to draw a crowd.
