A show that the organizers say they’ve been trying to make happen for years finally did, and boy was it great.

Charlie Redd & The Luna Voodoo brought a great time to downtown Sapulpa on Friday night, despite concerns regarding the high temps.

Featuring classic and modern rock and love ballads, mixed with a little blues and more, Redd put on a great show that you could sing to and even dance to, which several attendees did.

The Rock The Route Concert is part of the ongoing Food Truck Fridays program orchestrated by Sapulpa Main Street. Food Truck Fridays are the first and third Friday of each month through August, with the big concert happening on the third Friday, and a smaller alleyway concert happening on the first.

The live music aspect of Food Truck Fridays was something that Sapulpa Main Street really tried to push for this year. Although getting sponsorships has been difficult, they recently announced that a sponsor had stepped in to help bring more live music in the coming weeks.
