Sapulpa police have released a statement regarding a stabbing that happened on Saturday, July 15th, at the corner of N Mann Street and W Johnson Avenue.
In the statement, police say that at around 1:30 pm, they responded to a call at 820 W Johnson about a possible stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found two juvenile males, one 15 years old, and the other 16 years old, suffering from stab wounds.
According to the statement, the boys were both transported to a hospital in Tulsa, where the 15-year-old died from his wounds. The 16-year-old was treated and released.
Sapulpa police have arrested 57-year-old Richard Edward King on first-degree murder charges in connection with the incident. Police did not disclose King’s relationship to the teenagers.
Police have not released the names of the victims, nor details about how the incident occurred, but they do say more information will be made available on Monday.
