Wilma Laidley

Wilma Lee Laidley passed away Monday, May 20, 2019. She was born in Sapulpa, OK on January 18, 1935 to James E. and Bessie (McDonald) Mount. She grew up in Sapulpa, where she graduated high school. She loved her family so dearly. She was fortunate enough to live to see her grandkids, and great -grandchildren. She cherished the moments she got to spend with them. She also loved to go to the casino, or play Yahtzee with whoever would play with her, or simply just sit at the kitchen table with her coffee and watch the cars drive by. She loved to host Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Fourth of July parties for the family with Gail in their basement in their younger days. She lived a wonderful long life here with us and made a lot of funny memorable great memories for us to cherish.

Wilma is survived by her daughter Linda Wright of Sapulpa; son Tommy Laidley of Sapulpa, and daughter Deena Whitfield of Garrison, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who will all miss her greatly.

Wilma was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jim and Bessie Mount; husband Gail Laidley; son James Daniel Thompson and sisters Luvata Marquese McCallum, Olora Jane Bennet and Reba June Henderson.

A memorial service will be held at 10am, Friday, May 24, 2019 at Traditions Funeral Chapel, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma,
