William Brant Green, of Sapulpa, passed from this life January 14, 2019 at the age of 57. Brant was the son of Billy and Joyce Green. He was born January 20, 1961 in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from Edison High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After graduation, he attended Trinidad State Junior College in Colorado where he studied gunsmithing and went on to practice this craft all his life. He joined the Sapulpa Police Department where he worked for the next 24 years until his retirement. After retirement, he moved to Austin, Texas to serve as Director of Gunsmithing for STI International. He then moved to Graham, Texas to start his own gunsmithing business.
Brant met and married the love of his life, Susan Vail, on December 18, 1987 in Sapulpa. They celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary in December. Brant and Susan had two children; their son Alex, born August 25, 1991, and their daughter Bailee, born August 29, 1997. Brant was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed shooting guns and fishing in his favorite bass boat. He loved spending time with his children and passing down his knowledge so that they could join him in his favorite parts of life. Brant had a very creative mind; he was a “master tinkerer”. Brant was known to create anything from custom knives to cannons. He was also known among his family and friends as a “Biblical Scholar”. He had a great knowledge of the Bible and loved to study it. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Sapulpa and the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge number 94.
Brant is survived by his loving wife Susan of Sapulpa OK, his son Alex of Austin TX, his daughter Bailee of Graham TX, and his dad Billy of Duncan OK. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Green.
There will be a family visitation Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Traditions Funeral Home at 35 S. Main in Kellyville, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
