On Tuesday August 25th, 2020, William (Mac) Dowdy Jr., loving husband and proud father of three children passed away at the age of 43.
Mac was born on July 26, 1977 in Tulsa, OK. to Bill and Bernadine (Jones) Dowdy. He attended Glenpool high school where he graduated in 1995. He and his wife Tiffani were married for 17 years and have two daughters, Taelor age 21 and Marisa age 17 and one son, Trey age 13.
As a kid Mac played baseball and basketball and his competitive nature followed him into adulthood. He bowled perfect games at the bowling alley and made a hole in one on the golf course, he was always competitive and always a good sport. Mac had many friends and was known for his generosity, quick wit, and infectious smile. He could walk into a room full of strangers and by the time he left they were all friends. When you were with Mac you knew you were going to have fun and laugh until your stomach hurt. He was a caring and giving person and in his final act of giving he gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. He was a true hero.
Mac is survived by his wife Tiffani (Allen) Dowdy and three children, Daughter Taelor Dowdy, Daughter Marisa Dowdy and son Trey Dowdy, all of Glenpool, Ok. Father Bill Dowdy of Tulsa, Ok. Mother Bernadine (Jones) Dowdy of Bixby, Ok. Grandmother Dorothy (Bible) McNac of Tulsa, Ok. Brother Jeremy Dowdy of Bixby, Ok. Neice Isabelle Dowdy of Glenpool, Ok. and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Mac is preceded in death by his grandmother Carolyn Jacobs and aunt Phyllis (Dowdy) White.
