Wendellyne Claire Wickham “Wendy” stepped into the arms of Jesus on February 8, 2021 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Wendy was born on August 17, 1963 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Roma (Hardy) Cotten and Stanley Junior James. She attended Kiefer Public Schools graduating in 1981. Wendy worked various jobs throughout her life including Wal-Mart and Hickory House. She mostly enjoyed taking care of her nephews, nieces, and her friends children, but her most rewarding job was raising her two sons.
Wendy met the love of her life, Eric Wickham and began their 35 years together, married for 27 they welcomed their two sons Eric Wayne II in 1991 and Kyle Chase in 1997. They were her absolute pride and joy.
Wendy loved her OU Sooners. She proclaimed herself Tracy Lawrence’s only REAL fan. She loved being outside in her yard fixing her flower beds and making her yard pretty or just sitting in her lawn chair under the shade tree with her big glass of tea (with sweet & low) watching all the kids play in her pool. She loved taking vacations with Eric and her boys and trips to Houston with her sisters. She loved holidays and spending time with her family and friends. She loved cooking and trying new recipes (that were always a success).
Wendy is loved immensely by her family, and her absence is a void that will never be filled. We take comfort in her faith and our faith in our Lord and Savior that she is no longer in pain and is more full of life now than we can imagine and we look forward to being with her again.
