Wanda Joyce Shaw went home to be with our Savior on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Willows in Kilgore, Texas. Wanda was born August 31, 1947 in Overton, Texas to Chesley Lee and Ellen Beatrice Shaw. Wanda was the baby of three girls, Kay, Pat and Wanda. She is preceded in death by her father, Chesley Lee Shaw, mother, Ellen Beatrice Shaw, sister, Patricia Ann Frazier, great-nephew Jimi Lee Filmore (whom she help raise for years) and Mary Kristine (Kristy) McCullough who passed on March 10, 2019 at the Willows in Kilgore Texas.
Wanda is survived by her sister, Kay Branch & husband, Malcolm. She is also survived by a special great-niece she helped raise, Casey Shelton & her husband Ryan, from Champaign Illinois. Other nieces and nephews she loved as her own—Angie Floyd, Steven Bingham, Laura Filmore, Joyce Bingham, Kathy Thurston and Misty Conway. She has many more great-nieces and nephews who survive and she loved dearly.
Services for Wanda will be at Green Hill Funeral Home in Sapulpa Oklahoma on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 10:00 in the Greenhill chapel. Burial will be immediately afterwards in Greenhill’s Cemetery where Wanda will be laid to rest with her mother Beatrice Shaw. The Way Church (formerly Westside Baptist Church) at 811 West Taft will host a dinner for family and friends immediately following the burial. All family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate her life. Wanda would have loved the fellowship and the laughter of her friends and family.
