Wanda Joan (Williams) Kirkwood, 80, formerly of Sapulpa was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK after a brief illness. Wanda was born on May 11, 1939 in Sapulpa, OK to Robert Freeman and Juanita Emily Williams. After graduating from high school, Wanda obtained her B.A. Degree and taught in the Beggs School system for 27 years. Wanda married Reverend Ralph Leroy “Roy” Kirkwood. They were married 45 years until his death on May 24, 2003. Wanda was a member of Utopia Baptist Church in Pensacola, OK where she was very involved and loved her church family. She also enjoyed playing the piano, fishing, traveling and bowling. While bowling, she met James “Calvin” Pollock whom she later married May 12, 2010 and made their home in Big Cabin, OK. She and Calvin enjoyed bowling, traveling and music. Some of their favorite places to visit were Branson and Yellowstone. They participated and competed in bowling tournaments across the US winning many awards along the way.

Also Preceding her in death were both her parents, Robert Freeman Williams and Juanita Emily (Harris) Williams, and brother, Donald Marvin Williams.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin; nephew, Robert Boyd Williams; niece, Jeanna Anne (Williams) Kish; great niece Staci Cates and great nephew, John Robert Cates and his wife Kaitlyn and daughter, Emma Grace Cates. Also surviving are: Step-Son Jerry Pollock with his children, Travis, Mathew, and Courtney. Step-Daughter Marilyn (Pollock) Young, with husband Bob, children Jeremiah, Zachary, Anna Marie and Sara along with 7 great Step great grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, February 14th, 2020 @ 2:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Interment will be in South Heights cemetery, Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

The Family requests that all donations be sent to the Baptist Village or a charity of your choice.
