Vivian Marie Cartrett Watson 90, of Okemah, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord at home surrounded by her family on February 9, 2020. Marie was the last survivor of 9 children born to William Ben Franklin Cartrett And Nellie Captola Stewart Cartrett. Marie was born in Bristow, Oklahoma on January 26, 1930. Marie is survived by her loving husband Thurl Seaborn Watson of Okemah, her son James Dale Watson and wife Glenna of Okemah, her daughter in law Pak Onyea Watson of Newalla. Her two grandchildren Clifton Watson and wife Kayla of Checotah, and Alicia (Watson) Rogers and husband Ronnie of Okemah. Her precious great-grandchildren Rhett, Remington, Raylee, & Rylan Rogers of Okemah and a host of other relatives and friends.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, one of her loving sons, Thurl Wayne Watson of Newalla, and brothers Milton, James, & Claude and sisters Sadie, Velma, Margaret (Ethel), Mildred (Louise), & Naomi (Ruth).
Marie was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, canning, sewing, fishing, ironing, cleaning, and caring for her family members.
Marie had a caring and compassionate heart, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed help. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Services will be Saturday, February 15th, 2020 @ 1:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Visitation will be Friday, February 14th, 2020 @ 5:00-7:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
