Virginia Dell Clark, 82 years old, died peacefully of natural causes with her second husband Lorenzo Abbott by her side at their home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on September 2nd, 2020. She was known as Virginia, Ginny, Ginny Bug, Mom, Grandma and Gigi. She was born at home in Nashville, Arkansas on July 12th, 1938 to Ernest and Willie Belle Arnold and her big sister Doris. She loved reading, school and being with people. She would read a stack of books in a week. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert (Bobby, Bob) Dale Clark on August 30, 1955. She was a mostly stay at home Mom who did lots of part time jobs to earn extra money. She was most proud of her two sons (Robert) Carl Clark and Mark Edward Clark and their families. She married before finishing high school, later obtained her General Educational Development, attended Draughons School of Business, worked for abstract companies, Target, Tulsa Regional Medical Center as a secretary, then an EKG technician. She was a TV hostess when the hospitals had rental TVs in the rooms. She stocked greeting cards in drugstores and Safeways for Ambassador cards which was owned by Hallmark. She was a housekeeper for a rich man, then worked full time for Methodist Manor as the receptionist until she retired in 2002. After Bob died, she met her wonderful, thoughtful, kind and loving second husband Lorenzo and became a part of his fun-loving family. Family and friends described her as loving, friendly, talkative, spunky, vibrant, and entertaining. She trusted people and gave everyone the benefit of the doubt. She wanted you to know you belonged and that she loved you. She supported each of us on our own journey and encouraged us to follow our dreams. She never met a stranger and with her charming personality everyone loved her. She accepted people just as they were as long as they were helpful and not hurtful. She fiercely protected her family and stood up for what she believed in. She believed in the truth. She did not tolerate when people did not tell the truth. She loved people, clothes, bling and shoes. She wore a size five shoe, the same size they put on mannequins and could get ten new pairs at the thrift store at a great price. Saying that she enjoyed playing games is not enough, she wanted to win. She enjoyed telling her stories no matter how many times you heard them. She was strong with many tough times in her life. She lived life to the fullest, got want she wanted and was happy. We love you and are so grateful to have known you, Virginia, Ginny, Ginny Bug, Mom Grandma and Gigi. The family has asked that everyone attending visitation and/or funeral services wears a mask in the funeral home.
