Virgil Lee Foster Jr. 78 of Sapulpa, passed from this life March 27, 2022, at his home. Virgil was born January 7, 1944, in Checotah, Oklahoma to Virgil and Esther Foster. He graduated from Checotah High School and was later employed by Affiliated Foods as a forklift driver for 34 years.
Virgil met and later married the love of his life Sandra Jones. They recently celebrated 59 years of marriage. He was a member of Pickett Prairie First Baptist Church of Sapulpa, where he played the lead guitar in the praise team. He was involved in worship services at Arbor Village Nursing Home in Sapulpa and enjoyed entertaining the residents there.
Virgil enjoyed being outdoors, working his land and playing the guitar. He taught himself how to play at the age of 12 and played by ear. He had a caring and compassionate heart and was always willing to give a helping hand. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Esther Foster; brother J.L. Foster and sisters Eloise and Louella.
Virgil is survived by his loving wife Sandra; daughter Angie Stewart and husband Rick of Sapulpa; son Stephen Foster and wife Jane of Sapulpa; 8 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Services will be 10:00am, Thursday, March 31, 2022, also at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville with burial to follow at Kellyville City Cemetery
