Tommy Esmond

Tommy E. Esmond was born on May 22, 1937 in Sapulpa.  He passed away on November 5, 2025.  Tommy attended grade schools in Sapulpa, moving to Tulsa where he attended Junior High and Webster High School, returning to graduate from Sapulpa High Class of 1955.  He was employed by Frisco Railroad in 1956, retiring from Burlington Railroad in 2000.  After retirement Tom continued volunteering as a presenter for the railroad grade crossing safety program — Operation Lifesaver.  Tom was a military veteran who served in the air force.

Tom is survived by his wife Grace Carpenter-Esmond.  They were united in marriage March of 1959.  He is also survived by two children, Michele Esmond-Winters and her husband Tom Winters, Tommy Esmond Jr. and his wife Susan, four grandsons Scott Winters and his wife CJ, Mason Winters, Mark Esmond and Phillip Esmond.  Tom is also survived by brothers Glenn, Jack and Scott Esmond, all of Tulsa.  He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Velma Esmond, and his brothers Dale and Richard.

The family will welcome visits from friends on Saturday November 22 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home 1208 S. Main Sapulpa.  There will be a private family service at a later date.  No other services will be held.
