Tommy (Tom) Wayne Massey, 74, un-expectantly passed away in Tulsa, OK January 12th 2023.
Tommy was born on August 9th 1948, in Webb City, Missouri to Mary (Campbell) and Paul Massey. Tom’s family moved to Sapulpa, OK in 1961. He graduated in 1966 from Sapulpa High School. After high school he went to Northeastern State in Tahlequah, OK before joining the Army. He remained in the Army receiving Honorable Discharge in September, 1971 with the rank of SFC5 after completing a one year tour of duty of Vietnam. After returning back to Sapulpa Tom worked for Otasco traveling around the U.S. He retired from B G & S Manufacturing in 2015.
Tommy (Pa Tom), was active in his grandkids lives, from ball games, choir concerts, birthday parties and more. He loved to take his grandkids fishing and could always be relied on when called. Tommy enjoyed going to racing events and attending his local Legion post. He always looked forward to monthly dinners and breakfast with his Sapulpa classmates. He was a dedicated Veteran who loved his country.
Tommy is proceeded in death by his parents Mary and Paul Massey.
He is survived by his sons David and Kathy Massey of Kellyville; Jason and Ashley Massey of Sapulpa; grandchildren, Taylor Massey, Hunter Massey, Stacie Massey, Destiny Massey, Logan Massey, Rylee Massey, Jacob Massey, Ryan Massey and Isabella Massey all local ; sister Jeanie Pfannestiel of Sapulpa, OK. Along with niece Lori Harris and multiple great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday January 28th, 2023 at Picket Prairie Baptist Church 11330 W. 181st St S. Sapulpa, OK at 11am.
In Lieu of flowers, the family is recommending donations to The Sons of American Legion Post #308 Tulsa, OK.
