Terry Lee Toner 69, of Sapulpa, passed from this life on February 16, 2022, surrounded by his wife and three sons. He was born on January 22, 1953, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to parents John and Eunice (McCoy) Toner. He graduated from Vian High School and attended Oklahoma State University for two years.
Terry met and later married his wife Barbara Slaybaugh of Sapulpa. February 20, 2022 would have been their 40th wedding anniversary.
Terry worked most of his life as a cross country truck driver. He was known to take his sons on various trips. Terry took his youngest son Justin on a trip to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska in the summer of 2000.
Terry loved doing things with his children including coaching little league baseball and football. He also enjoyed attending band concerts and enjoyed watching basketball and softball games.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Eunice Toner and brother Michael Toner.
Terry is survived by his wife Barbara of the home; sons Neil Toner of Tulsa, Matthew Toner and wife Jamie of Claremore and Justin Toner of Sapulpa; grandchildren Bryce Toner of Sand Springs, Gavin Toner of Sand Springs, Marc Toner of Glenpool, Sasha Bickford of Claremore and Kinsey Toner of Claremore; sister Sharon Prock of Fort Smith, Arkansas and uncle Frankie McCoy of Vian.
Bearers will be Buster Slaybaugh, Rick Boyd, Don Atnip, James Boyd, Travis Boyd and EJ Wilson.
Visitation will be from 4:00pm-6:00pm, Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Traditions Funeral Chapel. Services will be 10:00am, Monday, February 21, 2022 also at Traditions Funeral Chapel
