Teresa Kay Deaton passed from this life on August 9, 2022. She was exactly 63 years and one week old. Teresa was born in Sapulpa on August 2, 1959 to Perry and Jo Ann Varnell. The youngest of three sisters, she loved growing up in the country, playing in the mud, and rescuing baby bunnies from the farm cat. She was the proud mother of two daughters, and doted on her three-year-old granddaughter. During her last week of life, she celebrated her birthday surrounded by her mother, daughters, and granddaughter with stories, laughter, and home cooked food.
She was preceded in death by her father, Perry Varnell.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura Henderson and Meredith Deaton, her son-in-laws Joe Henderson and AJ McCoy, her granddaughter Grace Henderson, her mother Jo Ann (Adams) Varnell, and her sisters Vickie Beyer and Cindy Bertram.
A celebration of Teresa’s life will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Thursday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. Her family invites those who loved Teresa to share their fondest memories at the service.
