Suda Howard

Suda Ann Howard was born August 16, 1944 to Stacy and Opal Howard in Depew, Oklahoma.  She departed this life July 10, 2020 at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 24 days.

Suda was born and raised in Depew where she attended Depew Public Schools and was a member of the graduating class of 1962.   After graduating high school, Suda attended business school in Oklahoma City which prepared her for what would be a lifetime accounting career in the oil and gas industry.  Suda began her career with Sun Oil in Tulsa and finished her career in New Orleans with Consolidated Natural Gas retiring in 2000.  Upon retirement, Suda returned home to Depew where she worked for the City of Depew and was a past and present member of the City Council.

Suda was never in the background and enjoyed being at the front and center of everything she did.  She was known for her flashy dress, her loud and infectious personality, and inability to slow down.  Some of her favorite activities were attending concerts with her friends, playing dominoes with the girls, and spoiling her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.  Suda also loved the water and never missed an opportunity to go the beach, the lake, or a pool.

Suda is survived by her two yorkies, Luzi and Dezi whom she loved dearly; two brothers John Howard and wife Belinda of Waller, Texas and J.F. Howard and wife Chris of Depew, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bobby Howard

There will be a Visitation , Tuesday, July 14, at 6:00 pm, Hutchins Maple Funeral Home and graveside services are scheduled for 10:00am, Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Oakdale Cemetery in Depew, Oklahoma with Reverend James Lame officiating.
