Shirley M. Armstrong was born on November 12th, 1940. She entered into eternal life on May 2nd, 2023.
A carrier for the Tulsa World for 40 years, Shirley began delivering the newspaper when the Tulsa Tribute was still around. Her daughter described her as someone who loved her job and loved to work. “When she had to retire in 2013, she got really bored,” she told us. She also loved horses, and loved to sew. She made her children their clothes when they were very young.
She is survived by her sister Stella Neal and husband Wayne; by her daughter Patricia Lessley and husband Mark; by her son Kenneth Armstrong and by grandsons Stephen Burleson and Dillon Armstrong.
