A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Samuel “Sammy” Allen Keith will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the First Assembly of God in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
Sammy passed away peacefully at the much too young age of 57 on April 30, 2018 with his loving family by his side in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sammy was born in Cushing, OK to the parents of Ralph (Gene) and Betty Keith. He was a lifelong resident of Cushing and moved to Tulsa in 2002. Sammy had obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Education which he spent many years teaching high school biology. He was a hard working and dedicated man and when he wasn’t working he spent his time volunteering at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was a Shriner and during his time with them he would drive children across the US to get the treatment that they needed. Sammy had a heart of gold and his family meant the world to him whenever he had the chance to spend time with them he would be there.
Sammy is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph (Gene) and Betty Keith.
He is survived by his life partner, Melisa Moore; her children, Andrew Hood, Whitney Hood, Savannah Evans, all of Shawnee; brothers, Rick Keith and wife, Vicki of Hennepin, OK, Charles Keith and wife Diane of Edmond, OK; sister, Teresa Keith Walsh and husband, Tom of Mission Hills, KS; nieces, Hailee Bland–Walsh and spouse, Tiffany, Kelsey Perry and husband, Marcus; nephews, Spencer Walsh, and wife Laura, Matthew Keith, Connor Keith, Nicholas Keith and many other family and friends that will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date in his home town of Cushing, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family request all donations be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
