Ruth Frances Rackley, age 93, passed away March 7th, 2021. She was born March 20th, 1927 in Davenport, Oklahoma. While in High School, Ruth met the love of her life, Leonard “Pat” Rackley. Pat served in WWII and upon his return, they were married on October 28th, 1945. They then moved to Sapulpa to raise their two children.
She is survived by her son, Anthony (Tony) Rackley of Tulsa and her daughter, Victoria (Vicki) White of Sapulpa. Ruth is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Kevin White (Stacie), Darren Rackley (Jill), Tami Reavis (Dennis), Alecia McGuire (Chris), and Jared White (Jana). She also leaves behind 12 treasured great grandchildren and one precious great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard (Pat) Rackley as well as 6 siblings: Kathryn Miller, Dorothy Buffington, Raymond Thompson, Evelyn Gilley, Margaret Thompson, and Franklin Thompson.
Ruth and Pat were lifelong active members of Sapulpa Church of the Nazarene. She lived out her faith as a loving servant to her family. Ruth’s home was always open for friends and family to gather. She thrived on being the hostess and as everyone can attest, she was a fabulous cook. Her most treasured roles were that of loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and “Maw-Maw”.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 11th from 5-7pm at Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa. Service will be Friday, March 12th at 11:00am also at Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 1208 S. Main, Sapulpa, OK
