Ruby Ilynn Fisher, age 92, died on April 26, 2022 at Ranch Terrace Nursing Home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Ilynn was born June 28, 1929 in Goldthwaite, Texas, to Floyd and Inez Reynolds. She graduated from Brown School of Business in Winters, Texas. She retired from teaching at Sapulpa Head Start, where her greatest joy was working with the children.
Ilynn married Max Fisher on April 19, 1947. He preceded her in death in 2009, following 62 years of marriage.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Ilynn had a caring and compassionate heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Max Fisher, son Gary Wayne Fisher, daughter Shirley Donica, and grandson Ryan Donica.
Ilynn is survived by two daughters, Debbie Bowers of Sapulpa, and Pamela Scott of Broken Arrow, and daughter-in-law Barbara Watson. She is also survived by grandchildren Kayla Donica, Rachel Cooper, Shanna Donica, Joshua Watson Fisher, Jeffery Donica, Kevin Scott, Jadyn Adams, and Jia Watson Fisher
In addition to her daughters and grandchildren, Ilynn is survived by 11 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be a graveside service under the direction of Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Green Hill Cemetery in Sapulpa, OK.
