Roy Hill passed away with loving family by his side on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at the age of 79 years. Roy was born on January 24, 1942 in Egypt, Arkansa to his parents, Oliver and Bessie (Brown) Hill.
Roy proudly served our country in the Army from 1957-1959. He met the love of his life, Margaret VanZant, and married her 58 years ago on September 17, 1962. Roy worked as a truck driver for most of his life, but he was a jack of all trades and enjoyed doing several different things throughout his life. Some of his favorite things to do were to go fishing, traveling and cruising to different places, working as a mechanic and playing the guitar.
Roy never met a stranger and leaves many loving memories with his family, his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids which he loved dearly. He is survived by his spouse of 58 years Margaret Hill, his sons, Phillip Hill and wife Susan of Glenpool, OK and Raymond Hill of Glenpool, OK, daughters; Debra McManus and her husband J.Q. of Glenpool, OK, Annette Oberlander of Glenpool, OK and Shelia Baker and her husband James of Glenpool, OK, his 11 grandchildren; Travis Hill and wife Christina, Mitchell Baker, Derek Baker and wife Marisa, Michael Baker, Sarah Eldridge and husband Jacob, Lindsay Oberlander, Emillie Cain and husband Ben, Elizabeth Oberlander, Amanda Carter and husband Matthew, Melissa Prince and husband Aaron, and Dustin McManus, his 17 great-grandchildren; Kobe, Jayton, Nora, Luke, Vanessa, Tyler, Gabby, Jack, Kenzley, Brantley, Kaden, Kash, Bryar, Keegan, Juliet, Brayden, and Braylee, sister, Sharon Kelley of Glenpool, OK, brothers; Gerald Hill of Harrisburg, Arkansas and Elvis Hill of Caryville, Florida, along with many other loving relatives and a host of friends.
Public Viewing/Visitation will be held 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Monday, May 10, 2021 at Schaudt’s Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM May 11, 2021 at Schaudt’s Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel, 719 East 141st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma with burial at South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa, OK to follow.
