Roger Belk

Roger Wesley Belk was born on December 16, 1951 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Travis and Juanita Belk. He attended Sapulpa Schools until joining the US Navy at 17 years old.

While stationed in Brooklyn, New York, Roger met Barbara Sepe. It was love at first sight. He promised her forever, and they married on May 23, 1971. Roger was sent to Vietnam three months later. Upon his return, Roger and Barbara moved home to Oklahoma and eventually settled in Sapulpa.

Roger’s life changed forever when he became a dad. He cherished his daughters, Dana and Denise more than life itself. He gained a Son-in-Love, Chad Harris and loved him like his own. If you can believe it, Roger’s smile grew even larger when his grandchildren Mason, Lillian, and Hudson were born.

Roger worked hard his entire life. He had jobs as a teenager at Scott’s Tastee Freeze, Wickham Packing Company, and Jones’ Grocery. As an adult, he owned Belk’s Happy Gas, worked at Solaray, and ended up at Saint Gobain Containers, where he worked almost thirty years. When Roger retired, he joined the team at BOK where he worked as an usher, making sure concert goers had an amazing experience.

Roger was a stranger to no one. He had a wonderful personality, a loving heart, and a hilarious sense of humor. He will be missed, but we know he is healed and whole again in Heaven with his Savior.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, February 1st from 5pm -7pm at the Greenhill Funeral Home Chapel in Sapulpa. The celebration of Roger’s life will be on Saturday, February 2nd at 11am at Praise Fellowship Church, 201 South Water St. in Sapulpa. The family has entrusted services to Green Hill Funeral Home.
