Robert “Carl” Hames – Big Grandpa – Papa, as his grandkids called him, passed away February 16, 2019.
Robert Carl Hames was born September 1, 1926 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Jesse and Jessie Hames. Along with a sister Virginia Orr and a brother Joe Hames both of Sapulpa, OK
When Carl was younger, he joined the United States Army where he was honorably discharged in 1946. He then moved back to Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He retired from Murphy Switches after 30 years as a salesman. For many years he also owned a cattle ranch in Jennings, OK He loved watching football, golf. He loved John Wayne, and Bob Wills Band.
Robert Carl Hames is survived by one son Ronald Ray Hames and wife Regina Hames, Grand Children Robert Ray Hames, Wesley Hames, Brian Gerwitz, Amanda Kight, and many Great-Grandchildren.
