Robert Harold Davis was born April 27, 1925 in McCurtain, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Grace Davis. He died March 16, 2020 at Covenant Living at Inverness Village. He joined the U.S. Navy as a machinist  after graduating high school in McCurtain. He was stationed in Hawaii during World War II and a member of the greatest generation. After his discharge from the Navy he moved to Sapulpa where his Brother and Sister were living. There he found the love of his life Julia Maroutsos where on November 3, 1946 they were married. They were married 72 years before Julia preceded him in death in 2018. He worked for the Frisco Railroad and Wickham Packing Co. before returning to McCurtain to work in the coal mines. In 1949 they returned to Sapulpa where he worked at American Airlines and OK Rubber Welders before opening The Bob Davis Tire Company in 1966. He was past president of the Lions Club, a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriner and McAlester Consistory. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He is survived by daughters Diana Neal and Husband Bob of Broken Arrow, Ok. Deborah O’Brien of Sapulpa, Ok. Son Mike Davis and wife Susan of Sapulpa, Ok. Grandchildren; Kari Zucca and husband Charlie of Broken Arrow, Ok Jason Davis and wife Kelly of Golden, Co. Matt Davis and wife Mary of Norman, Ok. Justin O’Brien of Sapulpa, OK. Jessica Callejas and husband Julio of Sapulpa, Ok. and 10 Great Grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was a kind gentle man who was always willing to help the less fortunate. Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
