Robert Blair

Robert Lee Blair (Bob) of Sapulpa, passed from this life, at his home on July 15, 2022. Bob was born May 7, 1931, in Huntsville, Arkansas to Alex and Josephine Blair.
Bob joined the Military right out of High School and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy from August 6, 1951 – June 15, 1959. Robert served through the Korean War, on the John S. McCain ship as a Deck Technician. He also served in the Presidential Honor Guard where he served in the Inaugural Parade for Presidents Harry S Truman, and Dwight D Eisenhower. Robert was also active on Chinese Patrol for three months. He attended school in Kiefer, Oklahoma and was in employed by Bartlett-Collins Glass Plant for a period. Bob retired from the US Post Office – after 26 years as a letter carrier in Sapulpa.
Bob married Doris Jean Kunes on September 13, 1952, and they had a daughter, Diane. After Bob and Doris parted, Bob married Betty Johnson on September 18, 1959, and had their daughter Donna and son Robert Blair Jr. Betty passed from this life on October 30, 1985. Bob reunited with high school sweetheart Nellie, and they were married on May 24, 1986. Nellie Lee Blair passed away on July 15, 2010.
Throughout Bob’s time here on earth, he was a member of Kellyville Holiness Church, and then became a member in his later years at Sand Springs Holiness Church.
Bob loved fishing, gardening, reading, and watching hummingbirds out of his window. He also liked crocheting and listening to OU sports on the radio. He especially liked OU football. Bob really enjoyed making HOT chili and Taco soup for his family and friends. He also enjoyed bowling and playing golf.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Alex and Josephine, his brothers and sisters, and wives, Doris Kunes Blair, Betty Johnson Blair, and Nellie Lee Blair. Infant son Robert Blair Jr., and son-in-law Skip Booker.
Bob is survived by daughters, Diane Pinsart of Sapulpa, OK, Donna Booker of Rogers, AR, and Debbie Wallace of Sapulpa, OK, sons, Jack Wallace (Dena) of Mounds, OK, Mike Wallace of Sapulpa, OK, and Rick Wallace (Gwynn) of Danville, KY.
Bob is also survived by grandchildren, Eric Pinsart (Stephanie), Isaac Pinsart (Christy), Jennifer Hight, Kevin Wallace (Mekaela), and Wendy Wallace and Adam Wallace, great-grandchildren, Brody, Ethan, Samantha, Sophia, Cameron, Assiah, Nolan, Wade, Gracey, Sean and Daniel.
His beloved companion, “Ginger,” and special friends, Paul and Marilyn Gilbert, Tracy Reed and daughter Carmen, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
