Richard E. Larson passed from this life on December 30, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was born September 23, 1945 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Herb and Gertrude Larson. He was graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa in 1964. He received a Bachelor Degree from Northeastern State (College) University. He served in the Air Force for four years. He later was employed by the state of Oklahoma as a probation and parole officer for twenty –two years. He then was Undersheriff for Creek County two years. After that he was a surveillance instructor for River Sprit Casino.
Richard met the love of his life, Saundra at NSU and later was married. They celebrated 53 years of marriage February 10, 2020. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and had been a member of the Sapulpa Sertoma Club, Sapulpa Elks, and Sapulpa Main Street.
He loved spending time with his family and his friends and he loved to golf.
Richard had a loving and caring heart and loved to put a smile on people’s face. He never met a stranger. Even through his illness he joked with the nurses and doctors. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Saundra and their two children Anissa DeMoss and her husband Darrell, Brandon Larson and his wife Crystal. His grandchildren Connor Murray and wife Kayla, Emma Larson and Ella Larson, Katie Richardson and husband Anthony and Dalton DeMoss and wife Keli. Great grandchildren Amelia and Callum Murray, Brileigh and Dawson Richardson and Keaton, Kynlee and Karlie DeMoss.

Services will be Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Sacred Heart Church, 1777 E. Grayson Ave., Sapulpa. If you wish to attend the family asks you please wear a mask. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Cancer Society.
