Rhonda Simpson-Amaro

Rhonda Mae Simpson-Amaro went to be with the Lord October 21, 2020 at 1:20 a.m. at her home after a battle with cancer. She was born February 10, 1963 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Gordon and Sharon Baumgartner. She was one of 5 siblings along with Gina, Mary, Scott and Christy. Rhonda attended high school in Indiana, but honestly, she did not enjoy school. Much of her education came from her life experiences. Some of her experiences can be shared and some can’t be shared, or she may to choose to haunt those that do. Rhonda moved to Oklahoma during her teenage years. She spent much of her adult life living in the Sand Springs and Sapulpa area. She married Jaime Amaro on June 12, 1997 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Rhonda was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister and a friend. She was also a WARRIOR! She was tough as nails. She was not afraid to tell you exactly what she thought. She was blunt and to the point. She could also be the kindest person you would ever meet. She loved her family very much. Her husband Jaime was the love of her life. Her eyes would light up when she talked about him and all the things they loved to do together. Her daughters and her grandchildren meant the world to her. She always wanted what was best for them and she wanted them to be happy. She would say she spoiled them, but that was Rhonda’s way. Rhonda had a multitude of friends and family. They will all miss her quirky yet endearing personality greatly. She was bossy, outspoken, pushy, loving, caring, dependable…. Everything you would want in someone you love. She was Rhonda! She was truly one of a kind and she will be dearly missed. Rhonda is survived by her husband Jaime Amaro of Sapulpa; daughters Jamie Simpson and Jodie Markland, both of Sapulpa; grandchildren Mackenzie, Lynnzie, Kahne and Jadezie; siblings Regina Ladd and husband Larry; Mary Thomas and husband Ray; Scott Ayres and wife Carla; and Christina Bruton and husband Willie. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Louisa Mae Pursiful; mother Sharon Kay Baumgartner and father Gordon Neal Baumgartner. May the winds of Heaven blow softly and whisper in your ear How much we love and miss you and wish that you were here May you fly with the Angels now. Until we meet again; you will live forever in our hearts A Memorial Service for Rhonda is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2020 at 10:30am at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
